Our mission is to meet the transportational needs of individuals through the generous donation of vehicles by collaborating with churches and civic organizations who work closely with people in need. Our ultimate goal is to offer hope and opportunity through the gift of transportation, guided by the spirit of Galatians 6:2 to “bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ”
Wheels of Hope was started by church volunteers who witnessed the need for transportation of individuals within their church community. It is important for a person to have dependable transportation for their daily life, especially where no public transportation options exist. Individuals without reliable transportation struggle to find and maintain employment causing them financial and emotional despair. Oftentimes members within a church were willing to donate a used vehicle, but preferred to do so with a tax donation. Wheels of Hope bridges the gap by meeting the needs of both parties by allowing the church member to receive a tax deduction while helping individuals with reliable transportation.
We accomplish our mission by accepting vehicle donations of any kind while offering a tax donation to the owner. We generally have the vehicle assessed by a mechanic and make any necessary repairs to ensure we are providing a safe vehicle. If the vehicle is beyond repair, we sell it for parts which helps to cover costs for other vehicles.
We then collaborate with churches and civic organizations in the Bay Area of Houston who are walking alongside an individual who is experiencing financial hardship and is unable to acquire transportation on their own. Upon their referral, we work to match the individual with a vehicle.

I can’t thank Wheels of Hope enough for gifting me a vehicle for my two boys and I! It was a difficult time and I wasn’t in a position to get a car myself. I couldn’t work or take my kids out to have fun. Wheels of Hope did just that, gave me Hope! It was a huge gift that made a huge difference in my life! Sitting inside with two toddlers and not able to work and provide for us or attend college to continue my education, it was incredibly hard on us. And it was looking too far out to get a car because I ultimately needed one to get a job to begin with. My life was a stand still because I couldn’t do anything at that time. My boys weren’t able to get out of the house and as a Mom it hurts when you can’t take them to have fun like they deserve. I cried when I heard Wheels of Hope was helping us out! I couldn’t have been more blessed. I’m forever thankful. I was able to work, go to school, and take care of my kids again like we need!
Come along side us in prayer that God will use this ministry to grow His kingdom through the generosity of some to meet the needs of others as we live out Acts 2. We ask that you pray that God will prompt individuals to donate their vehicle and that we walk in discernment and wisdom to match the vehicle to the recipient.
We accept vehicles in any condition. Each vehicle donation MUST have a clear, unencumbered title to donate; meaning the owner does not have any loans or liens against the vehicle. The vehicle owner must be available to sign the title over to Wheels of Hope.
We also accept monetary donations to help with vehicle repairs, purchasing of vehicles, and cost of transferring of title. We accept monthly, yearly, or one-time donations.
Share our mission with others to help us connect donors and individuals in need of transportation.
As a Christ-centered organization, we believe that living within community greatly enriches the lives of all. In community, we can be known, and know others well, so that when life becomes difficult there are people around us to lift our spirits, give good guidance, and meet needs when appropriate. Therefore, we partner with local churches and civic organizations who are walking in community with others to help enrich people’s lives. We accept referrals from our partners who have identified a person in need of transportation.

We are incredibly grateful to the church and their community for the generous donation of a car. This vehicle helps us in every possible way such as going to work or getting some groceries. The organization helped us and fixed everything in the car before handing it over to us and they made sure it’s fully a functional car. We cannot thank them enough for this incredible help and commitment to us and our situation. My daughter and I arrived in the US a year ago as refugees from Ukraine.
Monetary donations are recurring monthly
